When your dogs's head size is the same size or smaller smaller than their neck, keeping a collar securely fitted can pose problems, this design will tighten if a dog tries to slip its collar, and loosen when relaxed. The extra thick webbing and tapered backpad ensures that your dog's neck and soft hair are protected and supported.

Italian Greyhound Collar (Small Size)
Collar size 21-31cm. - 12mm webbing, 24mm backpad
Over the years Black Dog has developed a very successful range of Sighthound Collars. We have had many requests for a collar for Italian Greyhounds, so this elegant and practical collar has been designed specifically for the breed.
The collar has a 24mm wide tapered neck pad in soft black webbing and an adjustable collar strap in a contrast colour.
 
Whippet Collar (Medium Size)
Collar size 28-36 cm, 20mm webbing - 40mm backpad
Black Dog has worked with Whippet breeders to scale down their sighthound design and produce this elegant and practical collar specifically for the breed.

Sighthound Collars (Large Size)
Collar size 36 - 46cm, 20mm webbing, 50mm backpad
Blackdog Wear designed and manufactures the Official Collar for most of the Australian Greyhound Adoption Programs and use this experience to produce the Sighthound Collar (for Greyhounds, Afghans, Saluki, Borzoi, etc)
 
​While this collar is designed specifically for Sighthounds, it may also be used on many soft haired breeds such as Vizslas, GSP's, or Dobermanns, as long as the collar is large enough to be fitted over the dog's head.  An alternative for these dogs would be our Comfy Turtle Neck or Tuffy Collars - wide neck pad, but clips on to fit around the neck on dogs with a larger head.
